Were looking for an experienced Senior Sprinkler Engineer to join our growing Sprinkler Systems Division.
In this role, you'll take the lead on delivering high-quality servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs across commercial and residential sprinkler, wet riser, and dry riser systems.
You’ll act as a senior technical specialist, supporting engineers, strengthening client relationships, and helping shape the future of our sprinkler service offering.

- What you will be doing
- Deliver servicing, maintenance, fault finding, testing, commissioning, and repairs on sprinkler systems.
- Carry out inspections and maintenance of wet riser and dry riser systems in line with industry standards.
- Provide advanced technical support to engineers and resolve complex system faults.
- Produce clear, detailed service reports with recommendations for improvements or remedial works.
- Mentor junior engineers and support training, onboarding, and development within the team.
- Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, system improvements, and additional service offerings.
- Support quotations, tenders, and commercial activities to help drive departmental growth.
- A typical week might include
- Visiting multiple client sites to complete scheduled servicing and inspections.
- Supporting engineers with technical queries or complex faults.
- Meeting with clients to discuss system performance or improvement opportunities.
- Completing reports, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborating with Service Managers on small works, tenders, or strategic initiatives.
Who we are looking for
Were seeking someone with strong technical expertise and a collaborative, customer-focused approach. Essential qualities include:
- Extensive experience servicing and maintaining sprinkler systems (commercial and/or residential).
- Strong knowledge of BS EN 12845, BS 9251, LPC Rules, and fire protection standards.
- Proven experience with wet riser and dry riser systems.
- Excellent faultfinding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to mentor and support junior engineers.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to spot service or improvement opportunities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with fire pumps and associated systems.
- Industry-recognised sprinkler qualifications.
- Experience working within LPS 1048 or other accredited environments.
- Previous supervisory or senior engineering experience.
