You'll be working on a wide range of fire system installations across Kent and London, taking on commissioning and ensuring every project is delivered to the highest standard.
What the role involves:
- Responsible for commissioning both addressable and non-addressable fire systems from a variety of leading manufacturers.
- Your day-to-day will include:
- Commissioning fire systems independently and to the highest standards.
- Reviewing technical specs, drawings, and documentation to support smooth delivery.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Escalating site or system concerns promptly to keep projects moving.
- Completing accurate reports, handover documentation, timesheets, and expenses.
- Supporting other teams when needed, including occasional callouts.
- Configuring systems, testing software, and validating cause-and-effect.
- Spotting potential improvements or sales opportunities while on site.
- Working occasional unsocial hours (including night work) when required.
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience commissioning fire systems to British/European Standards and BAFE/NSI codes.
- Solid knowledge of fire system products and their capabilities.
- Experience working across multiple manufacturers and system types.
- Relevant industry training (FIA Modules 1, 2, 3, and 5 or equivalent).
- A good understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
- The ability to produce clear, accurate engineering reports.
- Good interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
- A proactive, organised approach and a genuine pride in your work.
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
