Are you ready to take ownership of fire safety systems at a dedicated site? As our Site-Based Fire Service Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining and servicing advanced fire detection and suppression systems. From Notifier to Kentec, Advanced, Simplex, Voice Alarm, Gas Suppression, and HSSD technologies, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly and safely.
What you will be doing:
- Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on fire detection and suppression systems
- Responding swiftly to emergency callouts and providing on-site support
- Performing minor repairs and fault rectification during PPM visits
- Keeping site logbooks up to date and ensuring systems are left fully operational
- Submitting accurate documentation including worksheets, timesheets, and expenses
- Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
- Attending training to stay sharp on technical knowledge and industry standards
- Escalating critical issues and exploring alternative solutions when needed
- Communicating regularly with your Senior about site progress and concerns
Who we are looking for:
- Experienced fire protection professional with hands-on expertise
- Skilled in Notifier systems (or similar), Kentec, Advanced, Simplex, Voice Alarm, Gas Suppression, and HSSD
- Capable of installing, testing, commissioning, and servicing fire alarm systems
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
- Detail-oriented and proactive, especially important in the life safety industry
