Your next role

Join our growing team as a Fire Damper Remedial Engineer and help ensure building safety and compliance across London. This role focuses on remedial works following fire damper inspections, including repairing, replacing, and upgrading fire and smoke dampers to meet fire safety regulations. While inspection and testing are part of the role, your core expertise will be delivering high-quality remedial solutions.

What you will be doing

  • Carry out remedial works on fire and smoke dampers, including mechanical repairs, replacements, and upgrades
  • Modify or replace ductwork and access panels to improve damper accessibility and compliance
  • Interpret inspection reports and scopes of work to plan and execute remedial actions
  • Conduct fire damper testing and inspections as required
  • Ensure all works comply with industry standards (BS 9999, HTM 03-01 VH001)
  • Complete detailed job sheets and compliance documentation
  • Liaise with clients, site managers, and internal teams to coordinate works

Who we are looking for

  • Proven experience in fire damper remedial works and HVAC systems
  • Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and building compliance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and inspection reports
  • Skilled in ductwork modifications and mechanical repairs
  • Relevant certifications (PASMA, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness) preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
