Support Worker in West Bromwich. Permanent role, 37.5 hours a week; salary £25,350 per annum. You will support individuals with learning disabilities in a 2:1 service, and participate in a range of special interests and activities, such as cycling, disco, hydro‑pool and outdoor pursuits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Provide personal care and hygiene support.
  • Help manage finances.
  • Administer medication and support wellbeing.
  • Assist with work-related tasks.
  • Accompany individuals into the community for shopping or other trips.
  • Support social life and nightlife.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A full manual UK licence is desirable, as the role uses a manual 9‑seater company vehicle to take individuals to appointments, activities outside the home and trips.
  • Knowledge or qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) is desirable.
  • Shift patterns: 7 am‑2:30 pm and 2 pm‑9:30 pm, with possible weekends and bank holidays.
