We are looking for a reliable and motivated Male Support Worker to join our small service in Trowbridge, Wiltshire! This is a Full Time role, available at 37.5 hours per week for £12.50 per hour. Shifts vary across a 2 week rolling rota, including weekends and bank holidays.

Here in Trowbridge we are a small 3 bedded service, there are 3 lovely residents that call Lilac Grove their home. The people you will support have various challenges in their lives, our aim is to ensure they live the lives they choose. We support activities from the day to day things like washing and cleaning to swimming, visiting places of interest, day trips and holidays, theatre/cinema visits and exploring the beautiful countryside on our doorstep plus much more.

We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are:

  • Positive, with a can-do attitude.
  • Caring and empathetic.
  • Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives.
  • Have experience supporting people with complex needs.
  • Willing to attend training as needed to support you in your role.
  • Some knowledge of BSL and other communication methods.
  • Flexible and able to work all shifts, anywhere between 7am and 10pm.
  • A full UK drivers license and willingness to drive our Sense vehicle is desirable for this role.

No two days will be the same. Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. Your priority will be empowering the people you support to live an independent life. This role in Trowbridge, Wiltshire might include supporting people with:

  • Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
  • Personal care and hygiene.
  • Finances.
  • Medication and wellbeing.
  • Going into the community for shopping or other trips.
  • Their social life and nightlife.
