Looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our fantastic team as a Support Worker at our 6‑bed supported living service in Selly Park, Birmingham. This is a permanent role with part and full time contracts available. The role offers £12.50 per hour (£24,375 per annum FTE). A full manual UK licence is desirable as the role involves driving individuals to appointments, activities and trips.

Responsibilities

  • Support people with complex needs, including mobility impairment, learning disabilities and sensory losses.
  • Assist with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning and personal care and hygiene.
  • Help with finances, medication and wellbeing.
  • Support individuals with working and enable them to return to their community for shopping or other trips.
  • Facilitate social life and outings to provide an active lifestyle.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Desirable: British Sign Language qualification or knowledge.
  • Experience supporting people with complex needs.
  • Valid UK driving licence and experience with company vehicles.
