Sense is currently recruiting for an experienced Shop Manager to work 37.5 hours per week at our shop in Barry on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join our team and work in our network of over 120 shops as we continue our shop growth programme. We are looking for someone to lead and inspire an enthusiastic team, drive standards, operational and customer service excellence - all to maximize vital income for the charity.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Building, training, and inspiring a team of volunteers
- Maintaining excellent shop standards, product offer, and customer engagement
- Driving stock generation and community involvement
Our shops play a pivotal role in raising brand awareness and income, with over four million people purchasing from us annually, helping us make a difference in the lives of those we support.

- Self-motivated, creative, excellent communicator, and committed to charity retail
- Experience inspiring teams to deliver excellent customer service
- Attention to detail to ensure a safe, clean, and inviting environment
- Experience in retail or team leadership roles
This position requires working on Bank Holidays and weekends as needed.
