Looking for a new challenge? Here at Sense, we now have a great opportunity for a Support Worker to join our service in West Bromwich. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week and you will receive £25,350 per annum. You will join a fantastic team in our CQC-rated Good home, where you will support individuals who have learning disabilities with a range of health conditions. A full manual UK license is desirable as we have a manual 9‑seater company vehicle used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home, and trips. Knowledge or qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals in a 2:1 service ratio as necessary.
  • Participate in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing, including cycling, disco, hydro pool, and outdoor pursuits.
  • Assist with everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Provide personal care and hygiene support.
  • Help with finances.
  • Assist with medication and wellbeing.
  • Support work‑related activities.
  • Take individuals into the community for shopping or other trips.
  • Support their social life and nightlife.

Shift patterns: 7am–2.30pm and 2pm–9.30pm. Weekend and bank holiday work may be required.
