Could you help someone reach their full potential? Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Support Worker to join our team at Hyde Close in Barnet; a welcoming service supporting seventeen adults with sensory impairments, mobility needs, and complex learning disabilities to achieve their optimum potential in social, emotional, developmental, and educational activities.
This is a full-time role on a 12-month fixed-term contract working 37.5 hours per week, working every other weekend including bank holidays, paying £13.00 per hour plus Inner London Allowance of £1.58 per hour. The service is home to a large communal sensory garden and provides a supportive environment where residents live as independently as possible. No two days will be the same.
This role has the following requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience supporting people with sensory impairments or complex needs
- Experience using communication methods such as signing, symbols, or objects of reference
- Care Certificate
- Knowledge of BSL - desirable
We are looking for someone who is:
