Are you an experienced care professional ready to take the next step into leadership? Touch Base South East is one of Sense's most active day services; a purpose-built centre in the heart of Barnet supporting around 50 individuals through a packed programme of social activities and education-based sessions. Every day is different, and every session is designed around the people in the room.

We're now looking for a Deputy Manager to help keep it all running brilliantly, on a full-time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at £29,367 per annum (£15.06 per hour) plus Inner London Allowance.

What you'll do

  • Supervise, support, and develop a team of frontline staff through regular supervisions and team meetings
  • Plan and manage rotas, cover absences, and induct new starters
  • Contribute to person-centred reviews and support planning for the individuals we support
  • Help maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards
  • Play an active role in audits and quality assurance across the service
  • Contribute to a 24-hour on-call rota covering a range of services in your area

Who we're looking for

  • Experience managing or supervising a team of support workers in a social care setting
  • A Level 3 qualification in health and social care (or a willingness to work towards one)
  • Some experience or knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL)
  • Confidence working with support plans, risk assessments, and associated documentation
  • A flexible, person-centred approach and a willingness to work across a 7-day rota when required
