We’re looking for a HR business partner to play a pivotal role within our People Team, supporting the Head of HR business partnering to deliver high-impact, strategic people partnerships across Sense. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR business partner to deliver high-impact, practical employee relations support and HR business partnering across designated business areas. Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers, the role provides strategic and operational people support while offering day-to-day professional support to HR advice team.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver a proactive, high-quality HR business partnering service to leaders and managers within designated areas, advising on complex and high-risk people matters.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management teams, influencing decision‑making to support organisational strategy, performance and employee engagement.
- Work closely with leaders and managers to translate strategic priorities into clear workforce, people and capability plans.
- Identify current and emerging people trends, risks and opportunities, developing pragmatic and innovative solutions.
About you
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in an HR business partner or HR manager role within a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to operate as a pragmatic advisor to leaders and managers, influencing at management level.
- Strong experience in employee relations and supporting organisational change.
- Experience of providing day-to-day supervision to HR advisors or equivalent roles in collaboration with the HR manager.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice, with sound judgement and a pragmatic, risk‑aware approach.
- Experience of working in the charity, not-for-profit, or social care sector.
- Experience of delivering people projects or acting as a subject matter expert in a specialist HR area.
