We're looking for a female Care Team Leader to join our supported living service at Newton Court in Paston, Peterborough, on a full time permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week, paying £14.35 per hour (£27,983 per annum). The shift pattern includes mornings, evenings, and weekends on a two week rota.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role and BSL Level 2 is desirable.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supervising a team of support workers, including carrying out regular supervision sessions and appraisals
  • Coaching and guiding staff to maintain the highest standards of support
  • Supporting rota management and the day to day running of the service alongside the Manager
  • Supporting the recruitment and induction of new team members
  • Enabling the people we support to take part in meaningful activities and access their communities
  • Contributing to person centred plans and guidelines, working alongside families and other professionals
  • Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are upheld

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience of working with adults with complex disabilities or sensory impairment
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role in a similar setting
  • Experience of conducting supervisions and supporting with rota management
  • A positive, person centred approach and a genuine commitment to empowering the people we support
  • BSL Level 2 is highly desirable
  • 24 days’ holiday + bank holidays; increasing with length of service
