Waking night support worker in Dover

Could you provide calm and comfort through the night?

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our Supported Living service at Wheelwright Court in Dover, an eight-bedroom service where each person lives in their own individual flat and is supported on a one-to-one basis.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on a waking night basis, paying £13.00 per hour (plus 50p allowance). As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be awake and actively supporting throughout the night, ensuring the people we support feel safe and comfortable until the morning team arrives. Full training will be provided.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Warm, calm, and reassuring
• Caring and empathetic
• Reliable and consistent throughout the night
• Willing to attend training and develop in their role

This role might include supporting people with:

• Personal care and hygiene
• Medication and wellbeing
• Providing reassurance and comfort overnight
• Keeping accurate records and handover notes for the morning team
