Could you be a Sense Casual Support Worker?

Sense now has an opportunity for a Casual Support Worker to join our team in our Short Breaks (Respite) Service in Newtownabbey.

This is a casual role with flexible hours. We offer part-time, full-time, and relief/bank contracts, working flexibly across the week.

Sense offers £11.75 per hour.

Due to expansion, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to support adults with complex needs in our 2-bedded Short Breaks Residential service.

The work involves varied shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, evenings, and days. We seek committed individuals who value flexibility and share our values, making this an excellent entry into the care sector.

We’re looking for applicants who are:

  • Positive, with a can-do attitude.
  • Caring and empathetic.
  • Passionate about improving others\’ lives.
  • Willing to attend training as needed.

No two days will be the same

At Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live independently. Your role will be to empower them to do so.

This role may include supporting with:

  • Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
  • Personal care and hygiene.
  • Finances.
  • Medication and wellbeing.
  • Community outings for shopping and trips.
  • Social activities and nightlife.

Note: The role may include sleep-in shifts, where you sleep at the residence and may need to wake for care during the night.
