Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose.TouchBase Wales is Sense Cymru's community support base in Caerphilly, supporting adults with multi-sensory or single sensory impairment and additional needs. Our support is designed around the choices and wellbeing of each individual, with meaningful activities that promote life skills, communication, creative expression and independence. We're looking for a Care Team Leader to join the team on a fixed term basis for 12 months , working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Saturday on a mixture of shifts, at 27,982.50 per annum (14.35 per hour).
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave. A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle are essential for this role.
What you'll be doing
- Supervising, coaching and guiding a team of support workers
- Carrying out regular supervisions, appraisals and supporting staff development
- Supporting rota management and day-to-day service operations
- Supporting with the recruitment and onboarding of new team members
- Supporting individuals to access meaningful activities and their communities
- Maintaining accurate records and upholding safeguarding responsibilities
Who we're looking for
- Experience working with adults with complex disabilities or sensory impairment
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a similar setting
- Confident conducting supervisions and contributing to rota management
- A positive, person-centred approach with a genuine commitment to empowering others
- Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle - essential
