Our support is designed around the choices and wellbeing of each individual, with meaningful activities that promote life skills, communication, creative expression and independence.
We're looking for a Care Team Leader to join the team on a fixed term basis for 12 months, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Saturday, at £27,983.00 per annum (£14.35 per hour). Shifts are a mixture of 8:30am to 4pm and one day 7am to 5pm. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.
What you'll be doing:
- Supervising a team of support workers, including carrying out regular supervision sessions and appraisals
- Coaching and guiding staff to maintain the highest standards of support
- Supporting rota management and the day-to-day running of the service alongside the Manager
- Supporting the recruitment and induction of new team members
- Supporting the people we support to take part in meaningful activities and access their communities
- Contributing to person-centred plans and guidelines, working alongside families and other professionals
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are upheld
Who we're looking for:
- Experience of working with adults with complex disabilities or sensory impairment
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role in a similar setting
- Experience of conducting supervisions and supporting with rota management is beneficial
- A positive, person-centred approach and a genuine commitment to empowering the people we support
- A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle - essential for this role
