We're looking for a Community Support Worker (Communicator Guide) to join our community team in the Bridgend area, providing personalised 1:1 support to individuals with sensory impairments. This is a permanent role working 10 hours per week at £13 per hour, Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm; with the exact pattern to be discussed at interview. Comprehensive training is provided from day one. For genuine occupational reasons, we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010, Part 1, Schedule 9).
What you'll do
- You'll provide flexible, responsive 1:1 support in the community, helping with:
- Correspondence and appointments
- Shopping and errands
- Socialising and community access
No personal care or medication is involved in this role.
