We’re looking for a Lead people partner to play a pivotal role within our People Team, supporting the Head of people partnering to deliver high-impact, strategic people partnerships across Sense. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR leader to influence organisational strategy, drive transformational change, and shape workforce capability. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing expert guidance on complex people matters, and leading our HR and ER Managers to deliver a consistently high-quality service.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver a proactive, high-quality strategic people partnering service to senior leaders.
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex people matters.
- Lead and coach HR and ER Managers, ensuring consistency and excellence across the team.
- Support organisational development and change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
- Lead strategic workforce planning, talent management and succession planning.
- Champion equity, diversity and inclusion across all partnered areas.
- Use people data and insights to shape decisions and influence strategy.
About you:
You’ll be an experienced, people-focused HR professional who can confidently balance strategic influence with operational leadership.
Essential requirements:
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Substantial experience in a senior HR business partner or people partnering role within a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to operate as a trusted strategic advisor to senior and executive leaders.
- Strong track record in leading organisational change, workforce planning, and talent initiatives.
- Expert knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, with sound judgement and a pragmatic approach.
Desirable:
- Experience in the charity, not-for-profit or social care sector.
- Experience leading organisation-wide people projects or acting as a subject-matter expert in a specialist HR area.
