We’re looking for an experienced Internal Communications Business Partner to play a key role in delivering clear, strategic communication across Sense. This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week with 2-3 days from our Selly Oak office. This is a highly collaborative and influential role, working closely with senior leaders, programme teams and the Head of Internal Communications to support major organisational initiatives and transformation programmes. You’ll lead on planning and delivering communications for key projects, ensuring colleagues across the organisation - particularly those in operational roles - are informed, engaged and supported through change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnering with directors and programme leads to develop and deliver communications plans for key initiatives.
  • Designing structured approaches to change communications, including stakeholder mapping and audience insight.
  • Creating messaging frameworks, toolkits, FAQs and briefing materials for leaders.
  • Supporting and coaching leaders to communicate effectively during change.
  • Planning and delivering engagement activities such as workshops, events and town halls.
  • Monitoring engagement, feedback and sentiment, and adapting communications accordingly.
  • Ensuring alignment with Sense’s overall narrative, values and priorities.
  • Working closely with internal communications channel specialists to deliver across the right platforms.
  • Managing complex or sensitive communications with professionalism and care.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in internal communications, including supporting organisational change or transformation.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective communication plans.
  • Confident stakeholder manager, with experience advising and influencing senior leaders.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Experience working in large, complex or multi-site organisations.
  • Understanding of change communications and employee engagement principles.
  • A good understanding of inclusive and accessible communication practices.

Experience in a charity, health or social care setting would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
