Casual Support Worker – Sense College, Rothwell
We now have an opportunity for Casual Support Workers to join our Sense College in Rothwell. Casual posts are more flexible and do not have fixed shifts. The working week operates Monday to Friday, 9:15 am – 4:15 pm.
Overview
All of our centres have specially designed facilities and equipment that enhance the learning experience. These include fully equipped multi‑sensory rooms, sensory gardens, assistive learning technology, and sport and leisure facilities.
Responsibilities
- To support individuals or groups within the home, centre and community.
- To provide a customised, responsive and high‑quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
- To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.
- To assist with personal care needs and help people take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.
Required Skills & Experience
- No previous experience or qualifications are required; we offer training to help you become an excellent support worker.
- Knowledge of multi‑sensory impairments or learning difficulties is beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive is desirable.
- Knowledge or qualification in British Sign Language or similar (BSL, Makaton, etc.) is beneficial.
