Relief support worker in Aylesford

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Relief Support Worker to join our Supported Living Service in Aylesford, Kent, paying £13.00 per hour. As a Relief Support Worker, you'll cover shifts as needed across the service, so flexibility and reliability are key. It's a great option if you're looking for varied work with the freedom to pick up shifts that suit you. You'll work across 3 units within the same home, providing support in every aspect of daily life. From shopping, cooking, and housework to getting out into the community for activities and work. You'll help bring new ideas and energy to a friendly, supportive team. Early shifts start from 7am and late shifts finish at 10pm, with varied shifts available across days and nights.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting with everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Assisting with personal care, medication, and wellbeing
• Helping manage finances and encouraging independence
• Getting out into the community for shopping, activities, and social life

Who we're looking for:

• Positive, with a can-do attitude
• Caring, patient, and empathetic
• A good communicator and listener
• Flexible and reliable across varied shifts
• Passionate about enhancing other people's lives
• Willing to attend training to support you in your role
• Care or support work experience is desirable
• BSL skills and knowledge of multi-sensory impairments or learning difficulties are beneficial
