About the role
Sense has an exciting opportunity to recruit an Area Manager to join our successful Retail team. This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, with frequent travel to shops in the West Midlands, Worcestershire/Herefordshire and North Wales.
Responsibilities
- Manage, support and develop the retail presence within South Wales and surrounding areas.
- Focus on maximising sales and profit for Sense shops by developing new and existing shops and donation stations within the area.
- Line manage Shop Managers, Assistant Shop Managers and Shop Assistants.
- Lead effective generation and control of stock to ensure each shop achieves its full sales potential.
Requirements
- Strong retail capability and leadership behaviours.
- Great communication, coaching and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, merchandising and product knowledge.
- Ability to interpret and utilise data to inform decisions.
- Strong collaboration and support ethos.
- Proven track record within a multi-site role.
- Desire to learn and develop.
- Full UK driver’s licence required; a company car and fuel card will be provided with all business mileage covered.
- Flexibility to work unsociable hours including weekends and evenings is essential.
