Sense Scotland is recruiting Support Workers in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire offering 24 hours per week.

About the Service

We provide flexible 24‑hour support with small, consistent, person‑centred teams. Everyone we support has individual strengths and goals, and with the right help they can thrive in their communities.

No previous care experience? That’s absolutely fine — we provide full training, local induction, supervision, and ongoing support, including training in behaviour support and positive risk management.

What you’ll do as a Support Worker

No two days are the same. You’ll support people to:

  • Communicate their needs
  • Manage mobility and daily living tasks
  • Eat, drink, and manage personal care (where required)
  • Build community connections and enjoy meaningful activities
  • Maintain their health and wellbeing

You’ll also work closely with families, so good communication is important.

Additional role details

  • A UK driving licence (manual or automatic) is desirable
  • Some 1:1 work may be required, with regular peer and management support
  • You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team
  • Shift pattern - Shifts run between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday, on a team rota.
