SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED – EAST KILBRIDE
Jamie is a friendly young man with additional support needs who is looking for a kind, reliable and enthusiastic person to support him to enjoy his Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
Friday evenings - 5pm - 8pm
Support Jamie to attend a local sports club and enjoy getting involved in his community.
Saturday afternoons - 12pm - 4pm
Support Jamie to go ice skating and enjoy an activity he loves.
There may be times where Jamie would like to be supported within his own home.
About the role
The successful person will support Jamie to:
- Enjoy his favourite activities
- Get out and about in his local community
- Develop and maintain his independence
- Have fun and build confidence
- Stay safe while enjoying his leisure time
- Enjoy time within his family home carrying out activities of his choice
- Support with personal care tasks and administration of medication if require
We are looking for someone who is
- Friendly and approachable
- Patient, reliable and trustworthy
- Positive and encouraging
- Respectful of Jamie’s choices and individuality
- Happy to get involved and have fun!
Previous experience is desirable but not essential — the right attitude and personality are important.
Driving licence and willing to drive a work car preferred but not essential
