About our services

TouchBase Glasgow is a Day Support Centre which is purpose-built with a modern day feel and located in the Kinning Park area. Designed to support adults with disabilities and additional needs, it offers a vibrant, welcoming environment where people can take part in a wide range of activities including arts, music, physical exercise and social opportunities. Recently modernised, the centre benefits from excellent public transport links and features a café, arts and music spaces, and a peaceful courtyard. It is both a support hub and a social space, encouraging independence, community involvement and personal growth.

As a Support Worker at TouchBase Glasgow, you’ll:

Supported Living Services is where our teams work with people in their own homes and in the community - supporting adults with complex communication and sensory needs to live fulfilling and independent lives. In this role, you will usually support one person on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis and with the backing of an experienced team, onsite supervisors and managers you’ll never feel on your own.

As a Support Worker within our Living Services your role will include:

  • Supporting day to day living such as cooking, shopping, housework and finances
  • Assisting with personal care, medication and health needs (tailored to each individual)
  • Encouraging healthy lifestyles through diet, exercise and community activities
  • Supporting people to enjoy their chosen activities — from walks and swimming to dancing, gym sessions and socialising
  • Taking the lead in planning special moments like birthdays, outings, holidays or lifelong goals

You’ll play a key part in building trust, confidence and independence while helping people live lives that are fun, active and meaningful.

Training and Support

From day one, you’ll receive outstanding training and support, including:

Available hours and shift patterns

Recruiting various hours across our services in Glasgow. With full time (37 hours), part time (15 – 35 hours) and relief hours options there is something to suit everyone. Our day centre operates six days a week, with shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm. Our supportive living services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shift patterns may include early and late shifts, sleepover and waken nightshifts, weekends and public holidays issued via a supportive team rota system. All shifts require working to meet the needs of the people we support therefore; flexibility is essential to be considered further for these roles.
