What is a Relief Support Worker

Relief Support Workers provide a highly valued source of support across our services, helping to cover short or long term planned and unplanned absences. As a member of our relief pool, you’ll play a key role in supporting people with complex needs to live independently in their own homes, or to attend their activities and stay connected to their communities.

At Sense Scotland, we work in partnership with the people we support, enabling them to live the lives they choose while developing skills and independence. We are passionate about enhancing well‑being, quality of life, and day‑to‑day living skills. This includes supporting people to engage in learning, hobbies and leisure activities, and maintaining important social connections.

Flexibility that works for you

As a Relief Support Worker, you can share your availability and preferences in advance so managers can plan effectively and match your strengths, skills and interests. You can also let us know if you’re available at short notice—every hour of support makes a meaningful difference. Whatever your availability, your contribution matters.

About the service

At our Forfar Housing Support Service, we support 4 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live independently in their own homes.
