About the service
Set within the rural village of Bridge of Earn, 4 miles from the city of Perth, we have an enthusiastic support team providing 24hr care to people living with complex needs (such as learning disabilities, complex epilepsy, autism and Down syndrome) within their own home. The service has two adjoining bungalows with two people living within each house. A communal lounge and kitchen is where everyone comes together for entertainment and activities. There is also a lovely communal garden to enjoy whatever the weather. The team work hard to create a warm and welcoming environment to ensure everyone including staff feel safe and supported. The team are dedicated to ensure they provide a high standard of care that enables the people we support to live a full, active and independent life tailored to their needs and aspiration. The team work on a rota system and where possible flexible working hours are always considered as we encourage a healthy home work life balance. Shifts are: Early 7.30am – 3pm, Late 2pm – 10pm and Night 10pm – 8am. We also work closely and support the team at the Tulloch Hill service in Perth and meet socially once a month to enjoy an activity such as bowling, coffee and a meal.
What your day could look like
You’ll work 1:2:1 with an adult, supporting them in their day to day life and helping them work towards their personal goals. No two days are the same and your support might include:
- Cooking and household tasks
- Managing finances
- Attending appointments
- Encouraging hobbies such as bowling, swimming, walking, shopping, arts and crafts
- Supporting with personal care (full training provided)
You’ll play a key role in helping someone enjoy their life and build confidence in the things they love.
