Located in Ardrossan, TouchBase Ayrshire is a purpose‑built centre offering a diverse range of support services for children, young people, and adults with disabilities and additional needs. Our vibrant and welcoming environment promotes participation in therapeutic, physical, and social activities, all designed to foster personal growth, community involvement, and independence. At Sense Scotland, we go beyond basic care, creating opportunities for individuals to engage in meaningful and fulfilling activities. In our dynamic, fast‑paced setting, you’ll help people explore their passions, develop new skills, and build strong, trusting relationships. We aim to support each individual in achieving their personal goals and full potential, both within TouchBase and in the wider community.
Located near public transport links, TouchBase Ayrshire features an arts and music space, Sensory Room, Gym Hall, Trampoline area, and a courtyard. It serves as both a support hub and a social space, with a focus on value‑based communication to tailor support to each individual’s needs and interests. TouchBase Ayrshire is more than a centre of support—it's a fun, friendly, and inclusive place to work. Here, you'll find opportunities to make a real difference in people’s lives, while being part of a supportive, team‑oriented environment. Our day centre operates Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. We offer flexible hours between 8:30am and 6:00pm, with contracts ranging from 0 to 30 hours per week to fit your lifestyle.
Responsibilities of the Support Worker
- Healthcare Support: Assist with healthcare needs, including medication administration and personal care, ensuring the well‑being of individuals.
- Encouraging Independence: Promote independence and personal growth by following Support Plans tailored to each individual's needs and goals.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of daily tasks and activities, ensuring clear documentation of progress and support provided.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with colleagues, families, and individuals to deliver high‑quality care and support, fostering a team‑oriented approach.
