We are currently partnering with a large SEND school who are looking to recruit a 1-1 Teaching Assistant. We want you to join a fantastic school in Kendal who are offering a long-term, full-time role to start ASAP with a view for temp to perm. This role will be to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis with Special Educational Needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with learning.
- Offer emotional and pastoral support to students to improve their confidence and self-esteem.
- Help students with organisational skills, study techniques, and goal setting.
- Support students with specific learning needs, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Work closely with teachers and parents to track and review student progress.
- Contribute to the development of strategies to enhance student learning and well-being.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or a background in education or care (NVQ, CACHE, Degree, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting children with SEND.
- Passionate working with young children or adults with disabilities.

Pay Rate: £14.60 – £16.90 per hour.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with.
