We are looking for a Part-time Early Years Teaching Assistant. Are you a flexible, passionate individual with experience working in Early Years or Special Educational Needs (SEND)? The role

In this part-time role, you will be working with young children who require additional support in a mainstream primary school setting. Your role will involve supporting small groups and providing 1-1 support including emotional regulation and sensory circuit sessions. The role is diverse and rewarding, offering you the chance to contribute meaningfully to children's development and early learning.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable individual who is passionate about working with children and helping them reach their full potential. To succeed in this role, you should hold a relevant qualification in teaching assistance, childcare, or early years. Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable. A solid understanding of emotional and sensory regulation in early childhood is also essential.

Hours

This is a part-time position, and we can offer flexibility on working days to suit your schedule. School hours are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do, and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.

If you take a temporary role with Sense Education, you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
