The Sensata design centre in Swindon develops integrated circuits and MEMS solutions for a wide range of applications, working with our customers to take designs from specification to qualified silicon. Our engineers form a multidisciplinary team of electronics experts, who push the bounds of their experience to deliver each new project.

The Analog Design Engineer is responsible for the design and evaluation of analog integrated circuits, and related activities.

General Responsibilities
  • Participates in aspects of analog block specification, design, verification, and documentation.
  • Participates in aspects of architectural design, abstract modelling and system simulation as required.
  • Follows company policy surrounding design processes, documentation and use of tools.
  • Oversees, informs and critiques block layout.
  • Assists with the lab evaluation of circuits, developing supporting hardware and software as required.
  • Assists with aspects of wider technical activities such as qualification, failure analysis and production test design, as required.
Experience / Qualifications
  • A university degree, likely in Physics or Engineering.
  • A strong understanding of analog electronics, and an awareness of digital electronics, and of the IC design process.
  • Direct experience of the analog IC block design and evaluation cycle, having participated in successful designs and having acquired a postgraduate-level technical skillset.
  • An ability to work as part of a team, handling multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
  • Holds themselves accountable to achieving goals and high standards of work.
  • Proficient in scripting, with experience of languages such as Python, MATLAB.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate with suppliers and customers.
  • Committed to their own technical development: seizes opportunities for training and education.
  • Must have permanent Rights to work in The United Kingdom.
