Are you eager to take up a leading role within the commercial organization of one of the world's leading sensor and safety suppliers? Then Sensata Technologies is looking for you. We are looking for a colleague who can combine their commercial experience with technical knowledge to strengthen and expand Sensata’s position in the EMEA Industrial market. We support Sensata’s Industrial distributors to ensure our industrial products are available to all EMEA markets and customers. Your role is to manage the distribution team to develop the business with strategic new and existing regional distributors and their offices and subsidiaries across EMEA. You will be part of the EMEA Industrial Commercial Management Team and report to the Regional Commercial Director.
In this key role within the EMEA Commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the regional distribution team and the overall business relationship with the regional Sensata Industrial distributors, to drive new business development and achieve growth, profitability, and market share objectives. You will be working from a home office in Germany or the UK.
General Responsibilities- Responsible for the revenue generation
- Manages sales and local sales administration resources
- Manages the training, development, and ongoing motivation of local sales team
- Manages the annual plan, quarterly updates, and long-range planning processes
- Completes organization reports and biweekly highlights
- Responsible for sales organization with regard to account strategies, tactics, and management contacts
- Manages priorities and bonus outcomes for the sales team to ensure closure of key programs
- Create training plans for each sales team to handle the dynamic nature of the market and counter the increasing array of purchasing tactics employed
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
- Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Develop and execute the EMEA distribution sales strategy to drive profitable long-term growth in the region aligned with corporate goals
- Lead and manage the distribution team
- Establish long-term relationships with select distributors, manage contracts, develop business plans, and follow up distribution budgets and targets
- Monitor key metrics (Sell-in, sell-out, inventory) and perform analysis to measure and develop distributor action plans and provide regular forecasting
- Set distribution pricing policy in line with company’s revenue and margin targets
- Manage, promote and train select distributors across EMEA to grow our revenues and share
- Manage New Product Introductions (NPI) and the total product launch process for select Distributors
- Collaborate with product marketing, technical support and customer service teams to coordinate the total supply chain of the Distributors
- Collect and share insights on market requirements & competitor activities
- Significant sales and marketing experience at a senior level in Business-to-Business key account management in an industrial environment, including 5 years people management experience
- Distribution sales and management experience will be a strong plus
- Experience of working with sensors and industrial automation products is preferable
- Exceptional commercial acumen paired with solid operational and technical backgrounds
- Ability to convert customer needs into compelling offerings
- Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation), analytical and negotiation skills
- Organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Fluency in English and German languages are essential, French language will be a plus
- Willing to travel extensively, up to 50% of time, within Europe
