Overview
The Supplier Quality Engineer leads and supports daily supplier management activities at the Sensata make site. Working with cross functional teams to resolve any supplier related concerns they will also take the lead for New Product Development and change management across the site ensuring support for critical projects.
General Responsibilities
- Support containment activities
- Communicate with relevant internal/external contacts and ensure timely closure and effectiveness
- Notify suppliers quality issues, drive supplier report, verify and assure suppliers’ effective containment action, root cause analysis, and corrective actions/preventive actions
- Provide support during reviews and supplier selection process
- Assist with audits
- Communicates with the supplier on their quality performance
- Assists with providing actions in case a supplier is not meeting the quality expectation and targets
- Ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain
- Communication and alignment across regions
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
