The Network Systems Professional is responsible for analysing and defining business needs and translating them into effective technical solutions. The role involves supporting and evolving a globally distributed network environment across on‑premises data centres, cloud platforms, and international offices spanning North America, EMEA, and APAC. This hands‑on position combines network operations, design, security, voice systems, and cloud connectivity within a mission‑critical environment. The postholder will monitor network performance and electronic transactions, proactively identify and resolve issues, and ensure system reliability and security. In addition, the role requires maintaining accurate technical documentation, and working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and external vendors to deliver robust and scalable network solutions aligned to organisational requirements.
General Responsibilities
- Key participant in the designing and implementing of network communications and solution improvements.
- Key participant in the implementation of system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
- Collaborates on the load configuration of a central data communication processor and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks.
- Organises terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing.
- May be internal or external, client‑focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions.
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

Essential Criteria
- Years of experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications: Basic networking certification such as Cisco (e.g., CCNA) or Fortinet (e.g., FCA).
- Industry experience: Automotive, regulated environments, or manufacturing.
- Must‑have technical skills: Network Data: routing and switching, wireless; Network Security: FortiGate products, Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE; Network Voice.
