The Benefits Specialist is responsible for maintaining an effective benefits program for employees in accordance with the company’s reward structure, submitting data and analyzing results from benefits related market surveys and communicating effectively with individual employees regarding their specific plan. There is opportunity to grow this role from a UK focus to be a more broad Europe wide role over time.

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal personnel on employee benefit related knowledge and skill sets to determine current benefit trends and compare with legislated requirement and programs.
  • Organizes the design and implementation of programs such as accident and health insurance coverage, retirement and pension plans, income continuance holidays, and vacation time.
  • Key Participant in local and global surveys on current benefit trends, pricing and policies.
  • Collaborates on communicating the benefits program and policies effective to the company. Ensures proper communication regarding any change or updates.
  • Key Participant in modeling cost analyses of various program or policy updates.

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.

Essential Criteria: At least 2 years of benefits experience is required (or HR experience with an appreciation of benefits). An understanding of the UK market and local regulations is highly preferable, and familiarity with our EU countries is desirable.

Desirable Criteria: Program management skills is a plus. Workday knowledge is a plus.
