Teaching Assistant – Behaviour & Sports Support

Full-Time (Monday‑Friday). Agency role via Teaching Personnel with strong potential for permanent placement.

Role
You will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to engage with learning, regulate behaviour, and build confidence. A proactive, calm, and consistent approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Build strong professional relationships and act as a positive role model
- Encourage participation through sport, structure and routine
- Help students develop social skills, resilience and self‑confidence
- Support teachers in managing behaviour and classroom engagement
- Promote a safe, active and positive learning environment
Requirements
- Appropriate qualifications and training required for all applicants.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Strong team mentality and positive attitude
- Enjoys sports, fitness, mentoring or outdoor activities
- Can stay calm under pressure and build trust with pupils
- Valid driving licence (desirable)
- DBS on the updated service or willingness to apply
