Chalk Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Mentor to join a welcoming school in Leasowe. This is a long‑term, full‑time role supporting young people to thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group mentoring to pupils who need additional support.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and act as a role model.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support pupil progress.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, residential, or similar).
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A positive, resilient attitude and the passion to make a real difference.
  • Ability to commit to full‑time hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:30am‑4:00pm.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

  • References confirming suitability for role.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
