We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school who are seeking a long-term Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic Year 1 team from February half term. This role would suit a Teaching Assistant with Early Years experience who is passionate about supporting young learners and helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils within a Year 1 classroom, including those with SEND
- Work closely with the class teacher to support learning and development
- Provide targeted support to help pupils access the curriculum
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusion across the classroom
- Be an active, reliable member of the wider school team
Qualifications
- Have experience supporting children in Early Years or Key Stage 1
- Demonstrate a good standard of English and Mathematics
- Be patient, positive, and nurturing in their approach
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
