Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs across EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum
- Promote inclusive practice and encourage pupil independence
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
- Monitor progress and contribute to pupil assessments and reviews
Qualifications
- Recent experience supporting children or young people with SEND in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of a range of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
- Patient, adaptable and confident when working with pupils with complex needs
- Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Compensation
Salary depends on experience and is paid weekly through PAYE.
