About the role:
Provide teaching and support to pupils with behavioural and alternative provision needs in small class settings, helping them re‑engage with learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Teach in small classes to students removed from mainstream or placed in Alternative Provision.
- Implement behaviour management and de‑escalation strategies.
- Collaborate with school staff to support pupils’ learning and emotional development.
Qualifications and experience:
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with behavioural needs, SEMH, or Alternative Provision settings (highly desirable).
- Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
- Right to work in the UK.
- DBS check – enhanced child barred list on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Provide two professional child‑related references.
