We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Primary Teacher to work within an Alternative Provision setting in Wickford, Essex. This is a short-term opportunity starting mid-May, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and fostering positive outcomes in a non-mainstream environment.
The Role
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to primary-aged pupils
- Support students with SEMH, behavioural needs, and/or additional learning needs
- Create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider team
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Have experience teaching at Primary level
- Have experience within Alternative Provision, SEN, PRU, or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
- Be patient, adaptable, and confident managing challenging behaviour
- Have a genuine passion for making a difference to vulnerable learners
