We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Primary Teacher to work within an Alternative Provision setting in Wickford, Essex. This is a short-term opportunity starting mid-May, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and fostering positive outcomes in a non-mainstream environment.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to primary-aged pupils
  • Support students with SEMH, behavioural needs, and/or additional learning needs
  • Create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider team
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Have experience teaching at Primary level
  • Have experience within Alternative Provision, SEN, PRU, or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
  • Be patient, adaptable, and confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Have a genuine passion for making a difference to vulnerable learners
