A highly inclusive and forward‑thinking specialist setting in West Drayton is seeking a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. This is a long‑term role, working Monday to Friday, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs in a nurturing, structured environment.

What The Role Involves

  • Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND
  • Assisting with communication, emotional regulation and sensory strategies
  • Using tools such as visual timetables, now/next boards and personalised learning resources
  • Supporting pupils through structured routines, transitions and behaviour plans
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team
  • Contributing to a positive, encouraging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Helping pupils build confidence, independence and engagement in learning

What You’ll Need

  • Genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with autism and complex needs
  • Previous SEND experience or relevant background (psychology, sports, youth work)
  • DBS on the Update Service
  • Reliability, resilience and a calm, caring approach
