Role Overview
The SEND Casework Team supports over 4,600 children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities to achieve positive educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate EHCP processes in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice
- Produce high‐quality EHCPs, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and outcomes‐focused
- Prepare for and attend meetings related to the EHCP process, including annual reviews
- Liaise effectively with parents/carers, schools, and multi‐agency professionals
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders
- Monitor and review EHCPs, making amendments where required
- Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes and transition successfully between education phases
