We are seeking a resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Wembley from January for the remainder of the academic year. This is a full‑time position supporting pupils who present with challenging behaviour, helping them to regulate, engage, and succeed in their learning.
You will work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and pastoral team to provide structured behaviour support and promote positive outcomes for pupils who need additional guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 behaviour support for pupils with social, emotional or behavioural needs
- Lead small‑group interventions focusing on emotional regulation, social skills, and positive behaviour strategies
- Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils to help them re‑engage with learning
- Follow behaviour plans and work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
- Support pupils during transitions, playtimes and in‑class activities
- Record behaviour observations and contribute to personalised strategies
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
- Calm, patient and resilient with strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain clear, consistent boundaries
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to be part of a supportive school team
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
