We are working in partnership with a specialist school in Ware, Hertfordshire to recruit Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated and supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are patient, positive, and passionate about helping young people thrive. You will be supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Learning Difficulties, Autism (ASD), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), and behavioural needs, working closely alongside experienced and nurturing teaching staff.
The Role
- Supporting pupils in the classroom and wider school environment
- Working under the guidance of teachers to meet individual pupil needs
- Helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Encouraging pupil progress, confidence, and independence
Experience & Skills
- A good standard of education, particularly in English and Mathematics
- Understanding of health, safety and safeguarding within a school environment
- Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice (desirable but not essential – full training provided)
- Experience supporting children in a classroom setting (desirable)
- Confidence using IT to support learning
No previous SEN or Teaching Assistant experience is required. What matters most is your attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
