Up to 15 hours per week

We work closely with Local Councils, schools, and SEND teams to support young learners who need additional help outside of the traditional classroom setting. We aim to help KS1 and KS2 students with Special Educational Needs access engaging, tailored lessons in Maths, English, and general learning.

Role Overview

Pay: Up to £30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Hours: Up to 15 hours per week, flexible around your schedule

Location: Gosforth, Tyne and Wear

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small group tuition for KS1 & KS2 students with SEN
  • Adapt lessons in Maths, English, and general learning to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Support children in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and academic confidence
  • Track progress and provide regular updates to parents and carers
  • Foster a safe, encouraging, and motivating learning environment
  • Complete attendance and feedback reports as required

Requirements

  • Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN (ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to travel to Gosforth regularly
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the child workforce (or willing to apply)
  • Two professional references covering the last two years
