Overview
We are seeking dedicated and resilient teaching personnel to support learners who may display challenging behaviour and require strong, consistent adult guidance.
Responsibilities
- Support students within the classroom and/or specialist provision
- Manage and respond calmly to challenging behaviour
- Apply consistent boundaries while maintaining empathy and fairness
- Build positive relationships with learners who may have complex needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and behaviour leads
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience within the Prison Service, Secure Units, Youth Offending, Probation, or similar environments
- Confident working with individuals who display challenging behaviour
- Strong communication, teamwork, and conflict‑management skills
- Can remain calm, professional, and consistent under pressure
- Interested in making a positive impact through education
- Teaching qualifications desirable but not essential – training and support can be provided
