Wallsend Teaching Assistant

The service provides supply and recruitment services to education establishments across the country.
Our member school based in Wallsend is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team within the coming weeks.
Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant
– Getting the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards to maintain a safe and clean environment.
– Assisting Teachers in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment
– Recording and reporting a pupil\’s progress to the Teacher
– Helping pupils stay focused during class hours.
– Supervising group activities, sports events, and school outings
– Helping Teachers manage student behaviour.
– Looking after children who are unwell or upset.
– Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for children
Qualifications and Experience Required:
– Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a relevant Childcare / Teaching qualification.
– Experience working with children in a primary school or nursery setting.
