Wallsend Teaching Assistant

Schools Mutual Services is owned by a growing network of schools and academies across the United Kingdom, the recruitment service was set up several years ago by several education leaders, commended by the DfE. The service provides supply and recruitment services to education establishments across the country.

Our member school based in Wallsend is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team within the coming weeks.

Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant
– Getting the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards to maintain a safe and clean environment.
– Assisting Teachers in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment
– Recording and reporting a pupil\’s progress to the Teacher
– Helping pupils stay focused during class hours.
– Supervising group activities, sports events, and school outings
– Helping Teachers manage student behaviour.
– Looking after children who are unwell or upset.
– Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for children

Qualifications and Experience Required:
– Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a relevant Childcare / Teaching qualification.
– Experience working with children in a primary school or nursery setting.
