M&M Supply are recruiting a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to work within a specialist SEMH school setting in the Taunton area. The role is based in a specialist provision supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural difficulties. Pupils attending the setting have often found mainstream education challenging and require a structured, nurturing, and relationship-focused approach to learning and behaviour support.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support
- Support pupils to manage emotions and behaviour positively
- Use de-escalation strategies to support pupils during challenging moments
- Build trusting and professional relationships with pupils
- Promote engagement, inclusion, and positive outcomes
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff
- Follow safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural difficulties (essential)
- Experience in SEMH, SEN, alternative provision, care, or youth work is highly desirable
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) - essential
- A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
